Editorial Policy and Corrections

Editorial standards

EZHorseBetting aims to publish useful, carefully structured horse-racing information that distinguishes verified facts, historical context, editorial judgment, and uncertainty.

Editorial Responsibility

Sam is the owner, editor, publisher, primary author, and reviewer. Sam is responsible for final editorial decisions and material corrections.

Evidence and Sources

Facts that may change should be checked against current primary or authoritative sources. These include operator status, licensing, eligibility, minimum age, laws, payment rules, fees, promotion terms, apps, live video, racetrack status, and racing calendars. Search snippets and old EZHorseBetting copy are not treated as sufficient evidence by themselves.

When current evidence is incomplete, the page should qualify the claim, identify uncertainty, preserve clearly labeled historical context, or mark the item for review instead of guessing.

Writing Standards

  • Each page should answer a distinct reader question.
  • Specialist terminology should be defined in plain language.
  • Pari-mutuel pools, fixed odds, ADWs, racebooks, and sportsbooks should not be conflated.
  • Opinion and comparison judgments should be distinguishable from verifiable facts.
  • No guide should promise profit, guaranteed winners, or risk-free wagering.
  • Historical publication dates are preserved.
  • Material editorial work may update the modified date.

Automation and Human Review

Automation may assist with inventory, link checks, formatting, or issue detection. It does not replace individual review of materially changed pages. Substantive changes are checked for meaning, factual risk, headings, links, commercial integrity, and rendered presentation.

Corrections

Readers can report an error through the editorial contact form. A correction is evaluated against the best available evidence. Material corrections are made on the affected page and reflected in its modified date. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may be corrected without a separate notice.

Commercial Separation

Affiliate compensation may affect placement, but it does not permit fabricated testing, bonuses, ratings, licensing claims, or recommendations. Commercial pages follow the Review Methodology and Affiliate Disclosure.
