How the math works
Build the Ticket Before You Fund It
A box covers every valid finishing order among the runners you enter. Three horses in an exacta box create six combinations; the same three horses in a trifecta box also create six. Adding a fourth horse changes that trifecta to 24 combinations. The calculator multiplies those combinations by your base wager so the full cost is visible before submission.
Box
Use the same group of runners in every finishing position. Enter horse numbers or names separated by commas.
Key on top
Fix one runner in first and use the other runners underneath. This is cheaper than boxing the full group.
Part wheel
Choose a different runner set for each position. Invalid repeats—such as the same horse finishing first and second—are removed.
Multi-race
Enter the number of horses used in each leg. A 2 × 3 × 2 Pick 3 contains 12 combinations.

Payout Is Not the Same as Value
This calculator does not validate an operator’s acceptance rules or apply account-specific settlement ceilings. Check horse-betting stake, payout and withdrawal limits before treating a calculated return as payable or withdrawable.
If you are building a four-figure ticket, Can You Bet $10,000 on a Horse Online? explains the transaction, stake, aggregation and pool-impact checks that the calculator cannot verify.
The odds tool converts the displayed price into an implied probability and estimates the return on a straight wager. If you add your own assessed chance of winning, it also shows expected value. A positive estimate means your probability is higher than the break-even probability implied by the odds; it does not mean the horse will win this race.

A limit, not a target
Keep Ticket Cost Inside Your Race Budget
More combinations increase coverage and cost at the same time. Set the amount you can afford to lose before constructing the ticket, and do not treat a suggested budget percentage as permission to wager. If betting stops feeling recreational, stop and use the site’s responsible-betting resources.
