This year’s Pegasus World Cup was an exciting event that also included many prestigious turf races. It was held at Gulfstream Park in Hallendale, Florida. The event was formerly the richest horse race in the world, but this year the purse fell below the amount intended by the Stronach Group. Owners are required to put up money in order for their horse to complete in the event. The owners of City of Light took home $4 million for the win.
